SelfRefer

Confidential and External Psychological & Physiotherapy Support for all QPS Members

Welcome to SelfRefer

The SelfRefer Program partners with a network of qualified mental health professionals and physiotherapists experienced in working with First Responders and is available to all current Queensland Police Service employees.

The program is designed to encourage QPS employees to seek assistance that is best suited for them through an expediated self-referral process.

Who is eligible?

If you are a current employee of the Queensland Police Service, you are eligible to use SelfRefer.

All QPS employees are entitled to six sessions of psychological support and three sessions of physiotherapy in a Financial Year.

How does it work?

From the list of providers, choose a provider that suits your needs and follow their relevant instructions on how to make your appointment

When attending your appointment (either in-person or via tele-health), you will need to present your valid QPS identification as part of the invoicing and payment mechanisms.

Your provider will sight your registration number and provide the QPS a de-identified invoice number (e.g. QPS1002). Your registration number or identifying information will not appear on any documentation with your de-identified invoice number.

QPS will pay the Provider’s deidentified invoice for up to six SelfRefer Psych sessions and three SelfRefer Physio sessions.

When should I utilise the SelfRefer Program?

The SelfRefer Program is available to you anytime, anywhere and for any level of support. You can access SelfRefer for any reason whether its personal or work-related.
